Doll Parts by Penny Zang

It’s truly been a year for me gravitating towards stuff having to do with the band Hole. Anyway, I have been slowly escaping my fixation of only reading memoirs. I saw this book at B&N when I was vacation and then came across it used for $5 the same day at McKays Used Books in Manassas, VA. So then I knew it was meant to be. This story jumps back and forth between the 90’s and present times as you learn about two best friends who’s lives have weaved in and out of each-other’s. I will say this book gives me very much the same vibe as the limited TV series Sharp Objects(It’s a murder who done it novel filled with female rage and a great playlist- but takes place is Baltimore, Maryland). I am about 75% done reading this but thoroughly enjoying so far.
